Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

Step 1: Install the Canvelete App

  1. Find the Canvelete App

Step 2: Authorize the Connection

The Canvelete Zapier app uses OAuth2 for secure authentication. During the authorization process:

  1. Review Permissions The app will request access to:

    • Profile Information: Your name and email for connection identification
    • Designs: Read and write access to your designs
    • Templates: Read access to templates
    • API Keys: Manage API keys for advanced integrations
    • Rendering: Generate images and PDFs from your designs
  2. Grant Authorization

    • Click "Authorize" to grant permissions
    • You'll be redirected back to Zapier with a success message
  3. Verify Connection

    • Zapier will test the connection automatically
    • You should see your Canvelete account email displayed as the connection label

Step 3: Create Your First Zap

Now that your account is connected, let's create a simple automation:

Example: New Form Submission → Create Design

  1. Choose a Trigger App

    • Select an app that will start your automation (e.g., Google Forms, Typeform)
    • Configure the trigger event (e.g., "New Form Response")
  2. Add Canvelete Action

    • Click "Add Step" and search for "Canvelete"
    • Choose "Create Design" as your action
    • Map form fields to design properties:
      • Form title → Design name
      • Form description → Design description
      • Set dimensions (e.g., 1920x1080 for social media)
  3. Test and Activate

    • Test your Zap with sample data
    • Turn on your Zap when ready
